Born in 1990, bored and penniless John, Cheese and Greig decided they needed someone else to buy their beer for them. Being as they all made something which almost passed for music they decided to form a band, Rapscallion. Twenty-five years on and over twenty musicians later they have become institutionalised in their own musical asylum.
Alongside their original material, they play a mixture of early influenced arrangements of Celtic traditional songs and dance tunes, and the powerful rock punk folk songs of the Levellers, Pogues and Waterboys to name a few. Moving from melodic to driven powerful tunes and songs they truly love what they do and are very glad to entertain.
With the addition of Donald on keyboards the range of styles has without doubt increased significantly, and the combined individual influences within the band is promising to produce their best work yet as they continue to inspire each other in the composition of new material.
